Last Saturday, Canadian-born model Adrianne Ho revealed her latest collaboration from her Sweat the Style brand, swimwear collection, La Mer Noir at the newly opened Simons store at Square One Shopping Centre in Canada. Teaming up with Canadian retailer Simons for the new 90s influenced swimwear line. The capsule is inspired by Adrianne’s fashionably fit lifestyle. Referencing late 80’s & early 90’s water sports and recreation, the collection not only looks great but is engineered for activity. The pieces take cues from the era and update them in fabrication and silhouette. Ho’s founded Sweat the Style has had collaborations with PacSun in the past.
Ho is quoted stating the new line as an inspiration. She say, “I wanted the line to feel fun, fresh, and new. Taking inspiration from the Sweat lifestyle and all the activity-driven elements we love about the water and implementing it into modern products with an homage to the past.”
Adrianne has been signed with Next Models since 2013. When she first burst onto the scene, Adrianne Ho developed a following as the model who captured the eyes and hearts of streetwear and sneaker culture, popping up in lookbooks and editorials wearing men’s clothing in a way that made it look even better on her than it did on dudes. Since then, she’s founded her own website, Sweat the Style, a platform where Ho espouses the ideals of her healthy lifestyle, with regular posts around eating clean, working out, and of course, plenty of awesomely styled looks. Adrianne resume includes Supreme, Mercedes-Benz, and Highsnobiety. Aside from her La Mer Noir launch, Adrianne recently shot for fashion brand, Free People.
The LA Mer Noir collection is available now on Simons.
