E! released an official press release yesterday, announcing the 3rd season set to premiere in September 2014. One of E!’s most popular series, “Total Divas” currently averages 798,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo with a total of 1.3 million viewers on average. Additionally, the series ranks as a cable top 5 destination in its timeslot, Sundays 9-10pm, in the viewers 18-34 and women 18-34 demos. Total Divas is E!’s second-strongest original series of 2014-to-date following “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.”

Following the announcement of a third season on the way, news quickly broke that the show would also be getting larger with the addition of a new WWE diva in the latina from San Jose, Costa Rica; Rosa Mendes. The 34 year-old model/WWE Diva is the second addition the reality show has made in its three season existence, first new cast member being Summer Rae.

After the announcement of Rosa Mendes being added to Total Divas, the latina took to her twitter to reveal her excitment being casted as the newest diva, tweeting:

Amazing news!! Tears of Joy! I will be part of #TotalDivas Season 3! I can’t tell everyone in words how happy I am!@eonline @TotalDivas

Rosa joins a cast filled with fellow models-turned-WWE Divas including The Bella Twins, Naomi, Cameron, and the show’s biggest breakout star Eva Marie. Eva Marie landed an editorial with Maxim magazine for her role in the show and was recently revealed to be apart of thus year’s Maxim Hot 100 list. Marie has also become a popular demand in the fitness editorial for publications as well.

All evolving in both careers concurrently. Rosa is more of a veteran among the cast, aside from Natalya, Rosa has possibly been in the WWE the longest of the cast with her seven year stint with the company so far. Rosa made her debut in the WWE back in 2006, as a breakout contestant of the 2006 WWE Diva search. Rosa made the final eight; however, didn’t win the search but WWE were impressed and offered her a developmental contract.

Prior to Rosa’s seven year ongoing career with professional wrestling, the Puerto Rican/Canadian held several popular titles within bikini modeling. In 2004, she (under her real name Milena Roucka) was the first North American to win the “Piel Dorada”, a major Latin American modeling contest. Later followed winning Hawaiian Tropic’s “Ms. Indy 500” contest in 2005. Rosa has also been on the cover of Stuff magazine. Rosa is currently unsigned for her professional modeling career.

Total Divas’ second season will be airing it’s first of two-part finale this Sunday on E! Network. The third season is scheduled to begin airing September 1st.
