Balmain, the Parisian fashion house widely known for its rock and roll chic and sex appeal, has released its campaigns for 2015 that have taken center stage, demanding everyone’s attention. The first one feature the ever famous “Kimye”, as Kim grabs Kanye’s face and back of the neck going in for a rough, yet sensual kiss, making this the sexiest ad in 2015 (and it has not even started yet).
The story behind this ad may result in sibling rivalry as Kim Kardiashian stole the spotlight from her sister, Kendall Jenner, Rousteing’s latest muse. Jenner began her modeling career after signing with Wilhelmina Models at age 14 in 2009. In 2013, Jenner signed with The Society Management and has made cover appearances on W and V magazine, and has also walked for Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Givenchy, and Balmain. It was said that Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing was initially going to feature Jenner in his 2015 campaign, but Kim and her husband steal the spotlight as the campaign captures a moment of their love.
Who ever said fashion and junk food don’t mix clearly hasn’t seen Balmain’s latest campaign for 2015, #BalmainArmy. The campaign features super model beauties Adriana Lima and Joan Smalls (Elite Models) and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (IMG) playing Nintendo and eating junk food. The campaign was photographed by Mario Sorrenti, who’s style is known to be avant garde. The collaboration between Balmain and Sorrenti was bound to create something spectacular.
Although Jenner wasn’t featured as the star of Balmain’s Spring Summer campaign, she is still widely talked about. On December 16, 2014, Jenner was named the second most googled model in 2014. Smalls is also involved in Marc Jacobs Army for Spring Summer 2015. After the Infamous Victoria’s secret fashion show Lima poses in a slow-motion video in a bikini, showing off her natural beauty, and Huntington-Whiteley is featured on the cover of Harpers Bazaar Australia for January/February 2015.
